RABBI STUART FABRICANT Rabbi & Teacher
Messianic Jewish Rabbi Stuart Fabricant was born into an Orthodox observant family in Brooklyn, NY and raised in a traditional Jewish neighborhood. He later moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. When he turned 40 he visited a Messianic Congregation (“Temple Aron HaKoseh”) for the first time. He had no idea because this was his first exposure to the Jewish Messiah Yeshua (Jesus). Within a few months he gave his life and heart to the Lord and became a Jewish believer and accepted his personal Messiah in 1982. He and his wife–“Dee” started a Messianic home group when they moved to Waco, TX because there was not one at that time. After 7 years “in the wilderness” of Waco it was time for them to move to Tampa FL. There they founded a Messianic Congregation and named it “Shoresh David” (which means Root of David). The Congregation is still flourishing today. Next on their journey was the move to San Antonio in 2003 to semi-retire from “HIS Assurance” (a Godly financial practice) and the Congregation to be near 2 of his 4 daughters and their families. While he was waiting on the Lord for further directions, he started yet another “home fellowship” and studied for his full ordination as a Messianic Jewish Rabbi which he received from the “International Association of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues” (IAMCS). But again as he said “Hineni” (here I am) to the Lord, the “home fellowship” grew into a Congregation. When it was time to pick a name, the Lord prompted him to use the name, Shoresh David Messianic Congregation of Texas. We currently meet on Saturdays 10:35 am at 204 Harriman Pl. here in San Antonio. In addition to the congregational duties, he still continues to minister in “HIS Assurance” financial practice as well, helping people to be good stewards of God’s finances and resources.
